Irreversible Transformation

I have been listening to Siddhartha Kapil Gupta the past few weeks. I have not come across content that points directly to truth as his. He describes his life as one of devotion to truth — that he wouldn’t even credit this devotion to himself that it is what he is compelled to do with all his being. He has no choice in the matter.

Arrival is the single most significant wisdom I have gotten from his talk. Arrival basically is the irreversible transformation from one state to another. Arrival is the irreversible solution to a given problem, situation, circumstance etc — arrival with this quality is only realized by way of truth. He defines truth as something which cannot be further broken down, that is the bedrock of something, the fundamental causal point of something. The examination of anything back to this point is what causes one to see the truth of the matter and get a true understanding of the matter.

When I look into my life, I have a few things that can be said to be in Arrival. These are things that I don’t see being any other way. I also have many others which arrival hasn’t happened. The predominant quality of things in which arrival hasn’t happened is that there is a chase that is still ongoing in them. They are constituted by satisfaction that is not once and for all, it is cyclical. They are also characterized by fixes which are sought in form of how tos, prescriptions, methods, techniques etc which make them just palatable but don’t eliminate the problem altogether.

I have such one habit that I am convinced 100% sure that if it were to be totally solved the quality of my life would change totally. It has got me to the point asking the power that brought me here to do whatever it takes to solve it. I am aware of the price to be paid [ I hope ]. As far back as I can recall I have employed a multitude of ways of trying to get rid of it once and for all but they didn’t work. It beat me every time. It proves the futility of the Ideas of Prescription. I am not certain how deeply this truth has viscerally registered in me, but I know it has to some degree. The degree to which has caused a shift in my way of looking at things.

I had the mind transcendence experience about 2 years ago and the people I followed afterwards to try to get an understanding of how or what had happened really misled me. They have been contaminated with ideas of prescriptions as I am, and that is what has been furthered in me. I have read and listened to tones of such contaminated content. I am appreciative now that I have got to this truth about prescription, that in them there isn’t any Arrival but more prescriptions and empty chases. This caused a total un-subscription from content of the nature — even the deletion of all content of a podcast I was running because the nature of the content was prescriptive.

An unwavering devotion to truth is a desire that I would like to grow in me. I would wish to devote my life to it, I don’t see any other worthy cause. I have a slight understanding that such cannot be forced upon oneself — they have to happen organically. I hope this organic longing arises in me. 💐
