Prayerful

A single caption memory I have about my mother. Prayerful. My mother used to pray over everything, she was a devoted Christian and you would find her talking to God any chance she got — she did it aloud at times. My mother had friends who were her prayer partners, they would come home seclude themselves in a room and pray. They would pray for 2–3hrs straight.

I remember one time when she called me to her room, she asked me to kneel down with her and she prayed for me. I had completed my class 8 exams and passed well enough to be admitted to high school but that school was not to my mother’s liking. She tried to look for other options for me but she was unsuccessful, I had to repeat class 8 again and get better marks. I did just that. I believe that my family lives off the prayers of my mother. Everyone turned out well, especially myself. I firmly believe that if my mother was not that type of person my life would be a total disaster right now.

When I deeply examine my life and see the way things have panned out, it is nothing short of a miracle. Just plain observation of the flow of events without even trying to be positive. This fact of my life lets me know I am going to great heights because it seems that I am being guided, I am not alone. Despite everything, I still observe that guidance in the results I get in my life; where I didn’t know for sure how things happened but they did perfectly and for the best. This is not laziness to examine the how but a recognition that even if I knew the how there was no way I could execute like that or just how things happen perfectly and inline when I connect the dots backwards.

I feel like emotionally I hit the rock last year, this year I feel really positive I don’t think things can get worse than last year, the only way is up. I am really looking forward to what this year has in store. I already have clues but I feel it is going to be big. Again, I am not imposing this feeling on myself I just happen to really feel this way.
