The Relationship With Oneself
The mind creates who a man thinks himself to be. The ‘me’ that one refers to themselves as is the creation of his mind.
Who he is in reality is not this mind created phenomenon, but he lives as this created self. He becomes identified with it, he enhances it, protects it when it is under threat of diminishment.
Who one truly is separate from his self ( no self ). It is that which is aware of this mind created self. It is that which is aware of the mind. What matters most in uncovering who he is is understanding viscerally and absolutely who he is not. Despite how plainly and simply this is truth is put, it is an extremely rare realization because the mind is impeccably pervasive, almost everywhere the seeker will look it will be in the domain of mind.
The relationship one with oneself is possible when one starts to truly sees that he is not the mind or it’s creation — himself. If it has not happened what he has is relationship between different parts of his mind/ his self. This interrelationship with his mind will keep him away from truly realizing who he is, he will only play illusory games.
When the relationship between who he is and himself/ his mind is established one starts to have access to his mind. He starts to be a master of himself/ his mind. He is always within reach of both the minds might and the gems of nature, which put simply are true peace and lasting satisfaction.
This all these being said, one need not to try to do anything. He need not try to stop having interrelationships within his mind. He need not practice anything. He need not impose anything upon himself as some prescription to follow or a rule to adhere to. He only needs to understand what it is being referred to. This too is necessary but not a must. One cannot forcefully make himself understand.
