The Source of Non Peace
The understanding of this truth hasn’t stayed with me, if it did I would never be anxious again.
The source of all human pain, strife, anxiety, fear, stress, worry, confusion, doubt, inner conflict, restlessness, etc.. is his own mind.
It is the mind that births them.
Some would argue that it is circumstance, but circumstances only reveal or trigger the mind to create non peace. They are never the cause of it.
If circumstances were truly the cause of non peace then each circumstance would produce the same effect on every human being but this is not the case. One particular circumstance affects each human being differently, because of the state of their mind. If the circumstance that cause the non peace is removed, the mind would still create it through thought.
This is only what needs to be understood deeply to be on the path to peace, because any doing or prescribed way to stop the mind from creating non peace would sooner or later fail. The mind will develop immunity against any such method so you will have to create new methods, hacks and trick every other time they fail.
The understanding of this is a realization, a realization is natural and it is the only thing that has the power to sway the mind. Prescriptions do not have this power.
If one examines his mind, he will realize that whenever certain thoughts arise or whenever he is in a certain situation, certain thoughts arise, and those thoughts creates a certain feeling, then that begins a feedback loop. This has happened over and over again that the human doesn’t see it — he has unconsciously resigned to accepting that is just the way it is and it is going to be. He therefore succumbs to the trap of fixing and rearranging circumstances in a way that is palatable to the mind and since this is endless he becomes trapped for the rest of his life.
He lives his life for the mind because the mind is his master, he never sees freedom.
Freedom is the only worthwhile thing in a human beings life, for without freedom what does he truly.
True freedom is freedom from mind. The very impetus, the very source of all human suffering.
