Why I Pray

I pray because there are many ways in which things can go wrong, ways I can’t fathom.

I pray to invite higher power to take control of the portions of my life which I do not have control over. ( Which is basically all aspects of my life ).

I pray to express gratitude.

I pray to invite God’s presence in my life.

I pray for grace, protection, and providence.

I pray for guidance.

I pray because I don’t see how I am going to make it in life without God. — This comes from my life experience so far, the results of passivity or ignorance to God.

I pray to be given guidance on the best way to utilize the life I have been given.

I pray to feel that I am not alone.

I pray to have inner peace.

I pray to ask that the voids within myself be filled.
